Great!

I would recommend to invest in things according to usage

Examples

  • Good bed used for 7+ hours daily

  • Good shoes used more than 8+ hours daily

Got my first pair of skechers recently in sale. Didn't know they made em so comfortable 🤌🏻

Good mattress is also great idea tbh. One that isn't too soft ideally.

Congratulations on the milestone!

In case you haven't invested any money yet, it's time you did that first. Have an emergency corpus at least of all things.

Well how many months of expenses should be in a emergency corpus ?

6-12 months, ideally. Since it's 1L you should be able to have a runway of 3 months at least. Nothing like having an emergency fund to fall back to. You won't regret, trust me.

when I saved my first lac at the age of 22/23, I invested half of it in mutual funds (now it is almost double) and helped a friend (big mistake, 4 years and he still hasn't returned the money). I couldn't save anymore since then.

@PerfectCocoa Cool, I have been investing some amount on the side, but this is something I want to invest in experience and not save so any good experience money can buy is what I am looking for :)

If you are looking for places to visit, you can explore countries like thailand, vietnam, dubai etc. 1 lakh is more than enough for a trip to any of these countries.

I’ll try to list down some good material things you can buy if not travel

If you like space or stargazing etc, you can get a good telescope for 70-80k, its something i have been planning to do but never got to it.

You can buy a movie projector, one of my friends has it, we go there to party often, its fun to get drunk with friends and watch movies on a projector

I have also spent quite a bit on interior design, but thats just cause i am quite an introvert (you must have guessed by my suggestions), so you can think about it if you fancy that

I am guessing if you were into gaming like I am then you wouldn’t have even asked this question so wont recommend anything in that area

If you don’t want to invest it, you could go for a solo trip :)

Kudos on the milestone btw.
