I had the worst day ever today. So, I booked an Uber auto to go home from the metro station. The station is on a one-way road, and my home is on the other side. Usually, it takes autos more than 10 minutes to accept the ride, so I book as soon as I get out of the station and start walking.
Today, after walking for about 100 meters, my auto got booked, and the driver called me. He started yelling at me for booking the ride before reaching the location. I told him to chill and just turn on the waiting charges if he wants, but he got super aggressive and started threatening me, saying he would make sure that I wouldn't get to my home and he will get to me before that to attack me.
I was so scared and canceled the ride immediately, taking another way home. I complained to customer care, and they said they wouldn’t assign this driver to me again, but that's not enough. I’m still shaking and can’t concentrate on anything. It’s crazy how these companies don’t do proper background checks.
Have any of you faced something similar with Uber or Ola? What’s the best way to handle this kind of situation?
