(seeking help) I've got an upcoming interview in the analytics unit of a major MNC. Any good resources for digital marketing analytics?

Hello there, I'm expecting an interview call for the 2nd round next week. Was laid off in Oct and this is possibly my best shot at converting a job offer. Trying my best to go in with as much prep as possible.

About the job - this is an analytics unit that supports the larger global digital marketing team. It is a manager's role wherein it is required to provide the right direction to the analysts & data scientists. The manager is not expected to go into the details of model building but is expected to focus on the business deliverables and stakeholder management. In this case, the stakeholders are trying to improve their digital marketing optimisations. Namely search, app install campaigns, Customer Lifetime Value optimisation and so on.

About myself - I've got 14 years of experience in a completely tangential industry. The last 7 years I've been working on digital marketing & growth campaigns and somehow kept upskilling myself in Machine Learning tools & programming languages. The analytical experience (in the traditional sense) is pretty low. In the first round of interview, while the manager was happy with my domain experience, his feedback was that I still needed to meet the cut on the analytical side (rightfully so!). however, he's agreed for a 2nd round and has suggested i brush up on digital marketing analytics topics.

Specifically, I'm looking to read about case studies that explain the analytical strategies and approaches used to optimise digital campaigns. In all possibility, I'll be given a problem statement in the next round and will be judged on my thought process and methodology.

For starters, I've started taking notes from blogposts of Avinash Kaushik and the Marketing Analytics: Based on First Principles.

Seeking guidance and help from this community to direct me to other such resources.

Just build your portfolio website if not already. Most don’t have that if yes you’re set. Also write blogs there insta hire.

Fair point. I have a blog (made using Quarto, Rstudio) with a few kaggle datasets that I attempted using R and Python script. Got to find a way to slide it into the interview

Now I'm a certified Data Scientist from one of the prominent institute and have done some hand ful of ML projects and I have knowledge in Marketing Mix Modeling.

Would like to know if there are any openings for Marketing Analyst roles. I'd be happy to connect with you
