My Onboarding Struggles with Accenture: A Journey of Uncertainty
I wanted to share a frustrating experience I’ve been going through during my onboarding process with Accenture, in the hopes that it sheds light on some of the challenges others might also face.
It all started on the 5th of June when I received an offer letter from Accenture. My initial joining date was set for the 7th of October, with Bangalore as my base location. Excited about the new opportunity, I requested a change in my location to Gurgaon, which would have been more convenient for me. The recruiter handling my case assured me that the change would be processed within a week.
However, weeks turned into months, and despite my repeated follow-ups through emails and phone calls, I never received any official confirmation regarding the change. I remained in contact with the onboarding team, but their only response was that my recruiter would reach out to me. Unfortunately, that update never came.
On the 7th of October—the day I was originally supposed to join—my recruiter told me that my request had been raised with the TMO (Talent Management Office) and I’d receive a call by 6 PM with further updates. But the call never came. Since then, I’ve tried multiple times to get in touch, but my calls and emails have gone unanswered.
To make things even more confusing, on the 4th of October, I was suddenly informed that my base location had been changed to Hyderabad—something that was never discussed or communicated to me before. I was also told that my joining date had been postponed indefinitely, with no clear timeline or date provided.
This has put me in a very difficult position. I had already left my previous organization on the 4th of October, preparing to start at Accenture, but I’m now stuck in limbo with no clarity on when or where I’ll be joining.
It’s been an incredibly frustrating and uncertain experience. I’m still waiting for some form of official communication to give me clarity on my next steps.
Now, on the accenture portal my previous offer letter which was reflecting is not reflecting anymore. I am not sure what to do
Same thing happened with me 2 yrs ago and even with my colleague from London. Onboarding is a very bad experience across ACN in all countries. Just try calling the HR who interviewed you or negotiated salary with you.
They are not responding to my texts, i am still getting call from on boarding team but in the end they says like My recruiter will call me
@ClumsyWarrior same thing happened to me, I got the offer letter on July 17th but the location given was Pune. I asked hr to change the location. Followed up many times, sent n number of emails.. all are unanswered. 3 days before my DOJ which is Oct 18th my onboarding HR changed my location to HYD. But due to that change in workday. My profile status is showing as in progress for BGV. I am unaware of all this things happening. When I failed to reach out to the hr I contacted helpdesk number and they told me that my joining is postponed. Now I already completed my service in previous company.
It’s very frustrating, the onboarding HR is not even responding for priority requests.. I even lost my counter offer because of the HR. They told me that they will match the counter offer. Because of this fake assurance I was hoping for there update on revised offer letter.
But on Oct 17th my hr replied they can’t work on the counteroffer.
I received an offer from Accenture and accepted it also. After that my recruiter is not reachable via mail or phone. Is this normal in Accenture? Whom can I contact in this situation? I have also put resignation in current organisation. ...
