Shakib is the very embodiment of the spirit of cricket.

How can he be wrong in an appeal?

Wasn't it Shakib who asked players to stop playing or something when umpire gave a wrong decision.

Bangladesh after 27 years of Playing cricket still gets underdog sympathy. They celebrate like crazy after winning each match and cry when these rules go against them.

Shakib is beyond reproach. You should search for a reel of his on field tantrums.

I like what a distinguished gentleman had said - "If it's actually the spirit of the game, why do the rules say exactly the opposite?"

There is nothing called spirit of cricket. People only remember it when it goes against them.
If it’s a rule, it’s a rule. Rest is all BS!

It wasn't just a normal match to show the spirit of the game and Mathews wasn't playing for the first time, he should have been prepared instead of giving excuses. Bangladesh they need to qualify for CWC, so they have to use whatever they can within rules.

I know it's cruel, but "it is what it is"

Rule is rule... Rare rule doesn't change it... I think elimination from champions trophy is at stake, hence desperate behavior
