Stuck in a Support role 😵‍💫

I have spent more than a year at Accenture. I work in SharePoint support, and I am more inclined to developer roles. My project won’t release me and I am finding it hard to switch the company as well because of inexperience in development projects and the 90 days notice period.

I feel like I am stuck , and I need advice to get out of this.🫶✨

See if you can switch internally to any dev related roles. Otherwise upskill yourself.
Lie on your resume and claim you've worked in dev roles.
If you're confident about acing interviews, quit your current job and start applying for dev roles elsewhere. Otherwise, spam apply to companies without losing hope.

Thank you so much, I am trying to upskill. Currently learning MERN stack just to understand the basics of how the technology works. I did some Leetcode too back in college days. I know C, C++, Python with Machine Learning ( using tensorflow and a few algorithms like Linear and Logical Regression, and a few more) I have a certification in Azure AI fundamentals too.

I am halfway to learning full stack development, am I on the right path? Or after learning some full stack I should transition into learning Java and spring or .Net framework. What should be the idle path ? 🫶 Thank you for your advice ✨

Get good at one thing. If you know MERN stack then you should know JavaScript. I don't know anyone who is good at both java and JavaScript. If you wanna learn Java then learn Java and spring boot and don't touch JavaScript in that case. Be good at one thing and apply to that particular role

Whatever you are doing for fullstack prep.. Just do it with 2x pace.. I was also stuck in DevOps support for 2.5 years.. In my first year, I tried to switch in java dev.. But I was too noob in DSA and It took me a year to prep...but it was too late to switch... So I did hardwork in DevOps only and got a DevOps developer role inside my project only.... Basically you should highlight your talent in front of team if any dev work comes, so they might assign some dev work there..
