Taking a break for switch!

Hey all, So need an advice is it okay to take a break for switch. I know the ideal way is to leave current place only when you have an offer at hand. But i dont have much skills at the moment so would like to prepare and give some time to myself.

I'll soon complete 2 years at my current work place. I'm also afraid cause of the current market conditions. Any comments would be helpful.
