Mega thread- Who is hiring? (Feb'23)
Please mention the name of your company and if possible the kind of role(s) it is hiring for.
If the company isn't well know, some context might help.
Let's list down all the startups which are hiring.
Quite a lot of employers are posting online claiming to be hiring, but candidates seem to be not getting any response after sending email/DM to that HR who posted.
I myself have applied to an entry level opening at a very well known and establish vehicles related product company. Literally entry level role with 6 months to 1.5yr YoE (I have 1YoE), yet I've not got any response. And they keep reposting the same opening over and over and over, to the point where I feel they are actually not hiring, but just updating their hiring work quotas as they were lazy AF HRs all through the FY23-24.
A common marketing practice to increase LinkedIn followers. Happens a lot
This is so true and we discovered this by chance. We're a small b2b co so LinkedIn presence is required for us both for customer discovery and as a smell test for companies checking us out. But after a year of actively posting stuff, we barely got 800 followers.
We were growing the team so put out 2 job listings (closed now though) and in a week we were up to 4000+ followers.
CEO has been joking that our recruiter is doing better social media management than our social media team, and that we should post job postings even if we don't intend to hire (and based on reply above I'm sure this is what many other companies are doing now)
At Grapevine we’re hiring for backend , frontend and growth roles.

i think we should have a proper format for this type of thread, just like hackernews has for whoishiring thread every month.
it could be like this
Company Name - Location - Role - YOE required ...More details about role....
This helps keep things simple
Just checked the whoishiring thread - AMAZING! Great leads there. Targeted and no nonsense.
I’m personally interested in role which can offer sponsorship. If there is something else like this, please share.
At zomato we are hiring all the time It's just a matter of referral
Mind referring me for product roles? Open to connecting at some other social media
Would you be able to give me a referral for a SWE or TL role? (I have 6 years of experience)
Hiring is happening for those with 3+ years of experience. Need to connect with the right person on Linkedin and pester them until we get the chance to at least interview.
