I'm thinking that I haven't utilised my full potential and left behind from folks around me . Right now I'm 27 and earning 22LPA as an SDE. I'm constantly worried how can I earn better or make some skills which can bring some money too as IT industry is not stable. So what could be best for me to do : My strong point is if I focus on one thing I can put more efforts into that work.
The options that I could think:
Guys can you suggest which one area should I select and why . As if I focus on more than one I won't be able to fullfill any.

Govt job: will be stable in long run
MBA: may give chances of growing into senior role in long term
Mba : yes it can improve your chances especially if you want to move to other roles. Govt job : stability => why do you need stability? Here's my take on it : IT careers are comparatively short termed as compared to other industries. With proper money management and discipline, you can even retire within 10yrs.
I am sde with workex of 2.5 years and 25 years of age. I have pondered upon this question since two years ago. Had researched everything that can be done after mba. From PE, marketing, consulting, product management, general management. TAS(genman job) kinda stood out for me. U can aim for that job if u want money and stability. My friend is doing it. Umm pretty much ok . I have arrived at a conclusion that tech is better as tech is already becoming integral part of management. MBA is loosing its shine day by day across the world. I believe mba is about networking and pedigree, other than that if offers nothing. So instead of wasting my money on mba i am thinking of starting something of my own side by side, and that venturing will bolster my resume if choose to be into management in future. Right now I am into tech, learning nukes , will change industry to get domain knowledge. About government jobs, a big no, its better to crack mnc and coast there till retirement rather than in government. Sab gadhe ghode sath mein daudte hain vaha, i can't tolerate shitty culture and mediocrity that much.

yes, it was started by jrd tata, its equivalent to IAS officer for TATA. only issue is people don't feel enthusiastic as bureaucracy comes in. But overall good job, security+ great salary, starting fixed is around 26lpa, not much hikes 5% around and you can choose to apply to any subsidiary under Tata given that there is position open and u are qualified enough
MBA : It is a great professional degree, no doubt. Great for switching roles. Here's some practical views for mba : You will need to prepare hard for an mba [ along with your day job ]. Getting a good college is also difficult and can be based on luck [ unless you belong to a reserved category ]. You will be working insanely hard for the course of your mba period. You have to fight for college placements [ all the anxiety and stress around it ]. There's no gurantee that you will end up with a very high package as compared to your current one.
Not sure, have heard that exec mba students don't get placement support. Again this may not be correct, please confirm this before joining.
Since you are worried about what will happen after 10yrs and not now, what if you do the mba after 5-6 yrs or 10yrs when you actually feel that there's no growth left?

I'll add these parameters in my list for choosing MBA. Preparation->getting good college ->placements with all efforts to put and returns that I may get .
Postponing MBA to 5-6 or 10 years makes sense but reason for doing it now was having much time and lesser responsibility as not married presently, don't know how it would be go into academics after such long corporate stint. I'm still figuring out this .

Govt job : Despite the stability, I feel the money you can make from a Govt job in your entire lifetime, you can make that in 10-15 yrs in tech. Add compounding to it, and you will end up having much much higher amount than that from govt job at 60. This is not considering bribes.
