Sony WH-1000XM5 best in my opinion, the noise cancellation is amazing. Also the microphone, even sitting near a table fan there’s no noise. would recommend this if you are into ANC. If not don’t go for it. If audio quality is your thing, go for Hifiman Sundara.
I bought this last month. ANC is unreal. There's a demolition going beside my house. I barely hear anything now and now I'm the clearest chap in my virtual meetings.
Buy an XM4, it goes easy on the pocket, also no real reason to update other than the looks and minor improvements, the microphone array still sucks in XM5's like XM4's
