Good business run by smart guy. There's always space in the market for people who can deliver good products at good prices with good marketing.

Also helps that he had 50 lakhs or something saved up to put in it lol.

I mean.. what new is gonna do or doing which Gillette hasn't already done.

Gillette doesn't own the entire market. It's estimated at 50% but the remaining 50% is still up for grabs between competitors.

It's also slightly easier to compete in established categories instead of creating a category from scratch where you need to work a lot harder to educate customers on top of everything. You can learn from your competitors and their mistakes.

I use their double edges razor. Been using it for last 4 yrs. Good quality but nothing amazing. There are better ones out there. Apart from marketing highly, BSC has no other value prop. They don't make luxury stuff like Truefitt and Hill but are considered a bit more exclusive than Gillette. Good for gifting, I guess

All the founders mentioned in the photo below have a huge economic upside if their startup succeeds. Possibly even billions of dollars. Their families for the next 3 generations wouldn't really have to work - they'll prolly just have dad...
