What happened to Web3?

Around 2020 there were lots of Web3 based startups that raised funding but now they are rarely in mainstream news. What happened?

It's beautiful tech. It came before it's time. Wait for few years before they get more popular

Can you expand on why you think Web3 is beautiful technology?

Historically, people(few individuals) vied for power, money and control. But when you give it to masses it become difficult to control.

Web3 tech has the capabilities to show power, money and control can be given by to masses if they are able to follow the rule based society.

Upar wala toh bahut philosophical point of view hai.

Technical - everything on internet is protocol based( rule based). But a few control this world(Apple ka lightening charger, Andriod default mail as Gmail etc, WhatsApp snopping illegally) and make money.
This happened because concept of money we followed was of 19th century.

But with blockchain, value can be transfered easily without single person control. (rule based)

So this will potentially give rise to new form of governance and value transfer in future.

Well no actually, as most often many look at Web3 only as a crypto currency stuff etc
That I wanted to know if there are any things in it

Web3 was about decentralisation and blockchains.

There's no real, profitable application of blockchain. The startups you mentioned were all betting on crypto currency. They tanked along with it.

Real ones are still building good things Obviously there were a few over hyped elements in the market, like any other industry but it's doing pretty good and I do think it's the future, if not in the present form then in a more developed and evolved form

Can't reply with an image, but coin telegraph summed up Indian government's blockchain adoption in a neat little visual, check it out

What happened to industry 4.0? Or to IOT?
