We are seeing a lot of jobs being eaten by AI and the unemployment rate is getting higher and higher everyday. What would the future look like?
Soon there will be maintenance projects available for AI related activities. WITCH companies will be again on the forefront to offer cheap labour. Nascom will start parroting how India is IT powerhouse. Half of Techies who will get laid off over the next 10 yrs will find jobs in tech companies that cater the Indian market. The rest will come under some gvmt yojana. GC category unemployed techies, you are screwed. The number will be small so you guys will kot be able to impact the statistics. So, you won't matter.
So, it will be same shit just different day.
I think AI has substantially decreased the time to taken to do a task, and it has added many more capabilities to the workforce, so Co-existing with AI maybe like telling them what to do in the initial years and if survival is possible we may end up us thought leaders. But ignoring and avoiding AI may be perceived as a weakness in the near future
