What is your reasoning for working for a start up?

I have been working in the startup space for around 4 years now. The primary reason so far has been the learning and work I do. But lately I have started to question why not go to a good company and chill a bit. What makes more sense spending next 3-4 years in a big company then coming back to the start up space?

Been thinking the same, I feel like I need to take it slow for a few months or maybe a year or two, otherwise there's a very real risk of burnout, both mental and physical.

When you say "good" companies, do you have any in mind? I too am looking for chill ones.

My definition for a good company would be a product based company with more than 10000 employees and Glassdoor rating around 4. Don't have any specific company in mind.

I mean this would just be the first filter next would obviously be the culture, pay, team, reporting manager etc

Seeking advice - FAANG or startup?

Hey everyone,

I'm currently working as a SDE at a startup with about three years of experience. I'm considering making a move, and I've received an offer from an early-stage startup where I'd be joining as a founding engineer. My main m...
