So the issue is hard to explain but I will try.... We have one parent pom where I have written to collect all jars that are generated by child pom along with some files and make a tar.gz out of it. Now the issue is while doing so the file that needed to be packed via parent pom are written in assembly.xml file right that assembly.xml code just needed to run after all child pom runs are completed, instead of that assembly.xml is running with every child pom.....

So many things -

Mainly - Why is 'new stringBuilder("").toString() != ""'? Not able to fucking understand this shit

  1. Fear
  • everyday goes by, and I don't find the strength to express myself, especially to someone i like
  • that I'll not be successful in switching my career to Development
  • that I'll never amount to anything more than I am now
  • that I'll never overcome the fuckall procrastination problem i have with everything
  • that I'll end up alone if I don't go via the AM route
  • that I won't be the Jake Peralta(B99) / the personality i wanna be

Oh, I realised this in Software Engineer section, did you expect an tech answer? I don't have unfortunately

In Java, == compares object references, not the contents of the strings themselves. The new StringBuilder("").toString() constructs a new String object with an empty string.

Oh right, but I remember when I used string instead of stringBuilder, it worked. I just checked the code again to make sure, and yes it worked

Stuck in a job which doesn't have any growth work, but just cleaning up other's mess.

Been trying to switch jobs but getting ghosted or note getting interview calls.

Hope I find a new and better opportunity real soon 🙏

Constantly confused between going to office and asking out girls around while I am almost still young!?(32). Or should I save the rent /expenses and keep wfh like the last 4 years and keep trying in matrimonial sites, which is going nowhere from last 2 years, sigh

How did the matrimonial sites go? Which ones did u use and how easy is it to find matches?

Not easy for me, especially for me as I am practically in no caste zone. Also you don't get decent matches if your expectations are slightly above avg. And the good ones have a hell lot of options
