what's your day like when you are laid off and serving notice?

Happened 3 times with me.
Most times, you know it is coming if the company isn't doing well. If you have made provisions and already been applying around, you wish you had more time.
If it's only you who is impacted, you feel shit. For more than a week. If it's a job you hate, you rather feel relieved.
In a job I disliked, during peak Covid lockdown, I once had a dream that we were let go. Honestly, after I woke up, I felt bad it was just a dream and hated I had to go to work.

I guess these days, so many folks around me, with good experience and background, are either choosing to be without a job or are currently without one. I guess if one's liabilities are within 40-50k per month level, this is quite practical situation to manage through

I stayed without a job for 20 odd months since 2021. I heard a lot abt how it wastes you, makes you restless, idle mind, devil workshop etc etc etc.
Everything is untrue. My break was the best time of my life apart from a few days of anxiety. That anxiety was needless.
