What’s the obsession with negative perception of quitting without an offer?
I am currently serving my notice period (90 days). Had decided earlier to quit and then look for a role so that I can job hunt in relative peace without worrying about job performance (high impact and demanding role). Was interviewing with a bunch of startup’s and almost every hiring manager and HR asked about why are you quitting without an offer? Same people when I was interviewing while working were concerned about the 90 day notice.
Is this considered as a concerning behaviour? Or just a negotiation tactic.
Also, what is a correct response to this question in your opinion? The truth seems incredulous to these folks.
