How you manage to study/Upskill on weekdays?
As the title says, because I don't get time for that. I only study on weekends. I have heard many people upskill with their jobs. How do you guys do it? What am I missing?
Do you work (upskill) every day or take Sunday (any 1 or 2 days) break per week. What are your thoughts on this?
When I got laid off from my previous company, I did upskill daily, but made myself a schedule to follow so I don't overdo it.
6:30 AM - Wake up 7:30 AM - Go to Badminton with club (2 hours) 9:30 AM - Shower and Breakfast 10:15 AM - Start practicing DSA 12:15 PM - Cooking lunch 1:00 PM - Eating lunch and going for a stroll around 2:15 PM - Afternoon nap 4:15 PM - Make coffee or tea 4:30 PM - Go to Table Tennis with club (3 hours) 7:30 PM - Shower and making dinner 8:30 PM - Eating dinner and video calls with family 9:30 PM - Back to practicing DSA 11:30 PM - Going to bed
I scheduled 3 days a week for pure study and 2 days for purely interviews.
Additionally on weekends I took mock interviews with an extremely supportive ex-lead from previous company. Took me 3 months to get 5 offers and land the best one.
Work everyday consistently. Ofc plans change depending on if there are indeed any weekend plans made
