Where do you rent your furniture/ appliances from?

I am shifting Sarjapur to a 1bhk flat, don't have much furniture other than a mattress and cooking essentials. I want to know if it makes sense to purchase or rent as I'm not thinking of staying in the same flat for more than a year. I will be living alone with friends crashing over the weekends sometimes.

If you know some place nearby Sarjapur for renting stuff cheap or any help setting things up is appreciated. I have only checked on rentmojo (seems the best option as of now), furlenco (expensive).

I used Furlenco when I moved to BLR about 2 years ago. They are expensive, support is crap, and is not financially viable in the long term.

However, I'd recommend you to rent furniture nonetheless, at least for 3-6 months. You can get up & running in a week, and then use that time to look for good quality furniture.

Another thing you can do is, if you like Furlenco's stuff, you can buy it from them after a certain time period. I purchased the Allen Queen bed + 7" Kurl On mattress for 10k after I rented it for 9 months.

Really helpful, didn't know we could buy it from them directly.

For Water: Livpure Ro would be good for renting And for furniture best option IMO is to buy second hand.
One can get good deals provided they can spare some time for it

I have checked drinkprime subscription, which seems affordable. Let me compare it with livPure subscription.

Furlenco used to have an offer of renting a bunch of furniture for a 60k subscription. Not sure if it still exists, but was able to furnish my 2bhk decently with it

60k annual, don't think I would need that much for my 1bhk.

Renting appliances in India is costly > buying, check pre loved marketplaces.

Of course rent stuff will be costlier than buying them. Most of the stuff which I saw on rentMojo subscription will cost their selling price in 1.5 years. But if you don't want the hassle of shifting stuff and maybe upgrade down the line renting makes sense.
