I have worked in EU for 3 years and wouldn't recommend it. You would only get peanuts as salaries , while taxes and housing costs are astronomical. Thus, you cannot save much unless you are in Zurich with Meta/Google . Not to mention the people are extremely racist.

If you want to migrate, US hands-down is the place to be with their high TCs

But barrier for entry seems to be easier in Europe than in US, right? And Europe crazy helps with the travel across neighbouring countries, also the food even though bland, still has great quality than the things I end up eating here, especially the bread, man I hate the bread here. Didn't know bread could be better until I went outside India

For what it's worth, I studied masters in another country and moved to EU due to visa issues , but I didn't like the experience. I had the BlueCard and was eligible to receive the PR but didn't pursue it. People are quite racist and sometimes I even got yelled at when I was minding my own business.

That being said, yes, you can travel to all EU countries, and food and chocolates in EU are far better than even US due to government regulations.

WLB in Europe is not much different unless you join a low TC local company like Bosch or Siemens, which pay extremely low wages. Housing is expensive, and even a small studio costs 1500 euros. If you happen to need specialist appointment or scans, you would need to wait a longtime. Grass is always greener

Yuck; have you even been to UK in recent years? Except for zone 1 everything looks like tier3 country.

Why such an extreme reaction? It is a lovely walkable place with clean air, water and some sort of law and order, rather than the orderless hellscape we are in stuck in this country 🙂

I’m considering Spain, my teammates and manager work from Spain now.

Dude, I know you will research hell out on this and will eventually reach someplace where all Indians and Pakistanis live. That's the same for all Indians out there.😂 Seen this pattern before.

Friends have recently jumped to:

  1. Netherlands
  2. Ireland
  3. Uk

Most are happy with their decision as they knew WHY they were making the decision. Dont go to europe for the money. Go for the life

It will easily cross 130k for SSE. Your data is wrong.

Pay wise Luxemburg> France= Germany> Italy > Spain

Work life balance France has 35hrs/week Germany has 40 hrs/week Luxembourg has also 40 hrs week Pretty similar for Italy and spain as well

In india you are paying 30% taxes and ROI is almost diminish In Germany you are expected to pay 35-42% but the world class facilities of health insurance,.clean cities,.less bustle and many other benefits Same case with Luxembourg and France as well with higher standard of living, although taxes are higher here also but what you will get in terms of facilities and saving outweighs a lot of cons
Choose accordingly Luxembourg>Germany>France>Italy>Spain

How I know:-

I am a final year mechanical engineering student planning to pursue masters thats why I am researching since 1-1.5 years

Is migrating to EU worth it nowadays?

Confused because of many issues like anti-immigration rhetoric by Europeans, low pay, high taxes, inflation etc. still it seems better than India at least in terms of pay and work-life balance. Need guidance on this. Also, is German or a...
