Would like to know regarding UI/UX design🎨🎨🎨

Currently, I know to work with Webflow, Figma, and Canva. Also, I know HTML, CSS, and JS and built some projects. Does that give me an edge over other candidates? Just curious to know🤔🤔

Not really. Most companies with good UX teams or clarity don't need HTML CSS JS. They need someone with maturity in their reasoning for design.

Can you work through the UX process to design a solution? Can you confidently defend your design before other stakeholders? That's what matters mostly.

Also webflow and Canva are not really required at all for UX/UI design.

Not saying these to discourage you, but maybe you already have the core UX skills in place and these are additional.

I'd recommend learning Photoshop and illustrator if you have the time. Way more features and functionality compared to figma or Canva.

Knowing code will give you an edge but not in a good way necessarily. You might be expected to work on stuff aside from UI UX. If it's a generalist role in a good startup/company, it would be good. Otherwise you might get overworked.

Make sure you make good projects that are end to end. That's what you'll be judged on
