Would you prefer going for an MS/MBA in a good market or a bad market?

The way I see it, it's pointless to pursue higher education when the market's bad unless you have a very specific goal.

In most cases, a master's degree gives you a boost immediately after the degree. If you can't maximize your options immediately after your course ends, it'll be much harder to leverage it a few years down the line.

Careers don't grow linearly. You want to stack as many multipliers as possible.

What do you think?

Sub par job is a risk,
However the pace and magnitude at which Indians assume risk to go abroad in such large numbers by hook or crook should be an indication
That anything anywhere is better than home

My cousin recently got into IIMB and his idea was to do MBA during the bad market assuming market will recover in 2 years. I am not sure though. There is so much uncertainty now, it’s difficult to actually come to a conclusion.

If not MBA, then what?

I’ve noticed a pattern that most folks at leadership have a masters degree at least (mostly mba). Im at that point where leaving my job (20LPA, 5YOE) for 2 years does not make sense and getting into ISBs would demand a strong Gmat score ...

Is there any point in doing an online masters?

I have a shitty bachelor's degree from tier 2/3 college that has been a hindrance in getting good jobs. Need a master's degree but full time MBA seems wasteful and expensive, since I already understand the basics of business and have boo...
