Zeta Work culture?
Hi folks, wanted to understand about the Zeta work culture and WLB. Any zetanauts here?
Ex Zeta here.
Zeta has good pay structure and provides decent hikes, but extremely bad work life balance. Has a very top-down approach; meaning whatever the CTO says has to be done. If he says No to a project you've been working on for months then its a No.
I've seen PMs and developers getting scared/stressed to get on a call with the CTO and top stakeholders. Because most ideas get shot down.
Also, no regards to personal space. Teammates will text you on Whatsapp and Flock, if you don't respond within few mins they escalate and complain that you're not doing your job well.
Most important - The Payroll tools suck. Payroll team is one of the most worst teams ever. Irony is zeta is a fintech company. They took 2 months to pay back my FnF settlement. Absolutely lazy response from the team even when we were working there. The tools they use for tax submission, payroll is good for nothing (might have changed I don't know).
The only decent and helpful people were the product managers, few engineers and the DevOps folks.
Base pay for 3 YOE should be 40. I know a friend working there with 2 YOE and 32 base
Any information on how is the sre work, any layoffs recently?
