I am just out of college, and while being in college I didn't feel it much but now I am in my 4th year and doing an internship. So the thing is here I see my peers along with the work also doing numerous things in life such as , clubbing, drinking alcohol, getting into relationships etc . And I sometimes feel like I am behind /leftout . I am not that much bothered about drinking alcohol but I really feel missing out of having a relationship. I am a 22 year old male never had a girlfriend but here almost all my peers have one . Sometimes I feel I need a gf and sometimes don't. So what to do ? is it late at 22 ( will be 23 in feb 2024 ) to be single and virgin ?

Confused about life

Sometimes I usually think, Why do I lose our school and college friends one by one? Is this a sign of maturity, reality, or something else?

I am just 25 years old, and within 3 years I have lost 90 percent of my circle and the few who left, with whom I usually get time to chat, call, or plan to get out.
 
And I feel that some day I will also lose them.

Can you guys make some comments that I have became  matured or that this is the actual reality of damn life?

Is losing friends from school and college a sign of maturity or reality?

At times, I feel that, Life is moving very fast!! Although I try to take out time for myself, for my health, fitness and everything. But still feel, everyday is passing by so quickly. 
Every week I wait for the weekend, and then the weekend also passes by so quickly, and the cycle continues.
How is it going for everyone else? 😊

Female friends have married, left work or working in one company for stability.

The star of college who feared nothing. Always in the middle of girls. Ready to take anyone for friends. The late night party star. The fake promises to stop smoking. Currently no Frns by side. Always logging into the mobile banking app. Kind of confused everytime. Worried about finances. Stuck between wife’s and mothers fights. Worried about future. But yes the is also a phase of life. Many things to come. Staying strong 💪

Currently working at Amazon since 1.5 years
It just feels like nobody trusts my work

Not sure about life

I saw a friend tweet about how Bangalore is full of connected but lonely people jumping in to join every Meetup/WhatsApp group that becomes available. This is my problem with the meetup / conference culture. Meetup culture is all about optionality. You think you'll meet someone new who's cool. Someone who can help you build your network. 

You would rather join a meetup with 100 other strangers than build stronger connections with your friends. In life there are only a few people who really matter. 

People who you can call at 11 PM to rant about your workday. People who you know will be genuinely happy about your promotion. People you share screenshots from work with. It is not probably the 100 strangers in that Whatsapp group that you think of when you are having a health issue and want to share your fears. It also means lowering your ego, which I'm happy to do with my old friends. I'm always happy to ping them when I get the chance, and I'm the one asking them to call me. 

I'm the one who asks them to hang out with me. I used to think, "Why bother?" but then I realised that it doesn't matter who reaches out first. It is not about keeping a count. 

I realised it's for me! If I have a chat with a friend of mine who I have known for over 10 years, my mood improves immediately. Everyone is very busy. Everyone is stressed with their jobs and their personal lives. Some of them are married now. Some have children. But that's where you've got to work to keep connecting with the people who matter to you. Friendship is also about being vulnerable. True friendship is built on vulnerability. 

Being able to share your dreams, your failures and your demons with each other. While the meetup culture is all about bumping into people for 5 minutes to judge their worth and whether they are worth your time, my preference is for long 1-1s. Either on the phone or face to face. I am happy to meet just one person over the weekend and have hours of conversation about work, life or wha

So I have couple of friends from college and I meet them during weekends.
Whenever I meet them they wanted to talk about how much they have given taxes, what their salaries is or how they worked this week.
I know that work gets too much and sometimes you need to vent somewhere, but everytime we meet this is becoming too much.
Sometimes I feel a bit out of place as they comparatively earn a lot than me.
I meet them to clear things out of my head and prepare for next week,but this constant comparison is getting too much for me.
I have asked them to talk about some other topic but sometimes after we come back to discuss the same things.

How do you deal with friends who upon meeting always wants to talk about their packages and work.

Today when I was deboarding my plan at Delhi. 2 guys started fighting literally abusing each other and pushing each other just because one wanted to rush early and other one was holding back. And then both waited at luggage belt for 30min 🤣🤣 that's life
