College life

Hey, I am in a great dilemma recently and needed some advice. I am entering the corporate world from college and moving to Bangalore and now look for a flat but greater decision is to find perfect flatmates. I have been living with my college friends and feel that i don't want to live with them anymore because of what i have faced with them. I feel like they haven't yet come out of college and their life is quite monotonous, waking up -> going to office-> coming back -> watching movies or IPL and then gossiping till bed time. And of course Friday Saturday mandatory alcohol. I am good friends with them and want them to be by my side but what I want more is that I have flatmates whom i can learn from, with whom i can discuss ideas and with whom i can build something. But how do i find these people? What should i do so that i get in a company where 5 people around me take me higher in life. Need some guidance. Anybody? PS- Obv I care about my friends and in my opinion wherever i live, i can go back to them whenever i want.

Sometimes I usually think, Why do I lose our school and college friends one by one? Is this a sign of maturity, reality, or something else? I am just 25 years old, and within 3 years I have lost 90 percent of my circle and the few who left, with whom I usually get time to chat, call, or plan to get out. And I feel that some day I will also lose them. Can you guys make some comments that I have became matured or that this is the actual reality of damn life?

Hi In final year right now of my BE My entire college life I am feeling left out No friends, If I need something I ask my classmates It feels odd It feels week Why as a MAN I am feeling such emotions Even accepting the fact myself that path further ahead will be like this only But still in mind, somewhere I believe if I had someone to talk to Someone to share everything I have It would have been better Yet again weak thoughts How as MALE adults you overcome Or you don't give a f*ck about it More like "hey, I don't even have time to feel shit" Pls throw some light on these thoughts I am open to every discussion

School friendship or college friendship?

Hi guys, I just graduated and started working. My office doesn't really have an in-office work culture, so I usually go to the office once in a while. The rest of the days I work from home. I live at home, and I agree that staying with your family brings in a lot of comfort. But the place where I live is a small town. I don't have friends here, and my social life has become almost zero. I feel like I have no one to talk to, my college friends on the other hand have moved to metro cities for their jobs, living with their friends. I see them enjoying every weekend which makes me feel bad as I don't have any friends here. Even my college friends have stopped talking to me. At times, I feel very lonely and sad. I have also been seeing a therapist for a while now. Could someone please help me with any advice/suggestions. I'm in dire need of advice/ perspective and have no one to talk to.

I am just out of college, and while being in college I didn't feel it much but now I am in my 4th year and doing an internship. So the thing is here I see my peers along with the work also doing numerous things in life such as , clubbing, drinking alcohol, getting into relationships etc . And I sometimes feel like I am behind /leftout . I am not that much bothered about drinking alcohol but I really feel missing out of having a relationship. I am a 22 year old male never had a girlfriend but here almost all my peers have one . Sometimes I feel I need a gf and sometimes don't. So what to do ? is it late at 22 ( will be 23 in feb 2024 ) to be single and virgin ?

Looking back at our college days, I remember how close we were. We used to think our friendship would last forever not only friends but cousins too, but things have changed. No one keeps in touch anymore. The friends I used to fart with are now distant, and when we do talk, it's only after months. It's frustrating. We're doing well financially, but our relationships are suffering. Whether it's because of work pressure or being tied to the office, we can't visit our hometowns as often as we'd like. On weekends, I find myself drinking alone, scrolling through old photos and videos of friends and family with some songs playing, and crying. Life goes on...! Monday comes restart....! I just wanted to share the feelings so i did :)

They don't know your life, may say something that triggers your PTSD But now you cannot react, though hurt You cannot drive them away because it isn't even their fault 🥺😪
