1% better everyday

In a very chaotic place right now, moving to a new city, away from home for the first time, starting a LDR, nervously excited about the whole thing.

Want to pick up new things.

  1. News: Shit at knowing what's happening around me. I know it's important but there's so much content everywhere. What few platforms will cover most of it? (PS: GV notifs sometimes do help with GK and starts good conversations :P)

  2. Books: Used to love them, trying to find my way back. Psychology, non fiction recommendations welcome

  3. Fitness: Gym jaana hai! Can show up consistently, just want a good environment, diet also needs work :/

  4. Upskill: Marketer here. Don't feel like doing this most days, but aise nahi chalega, kaafi zyada hi chill kar lia 🥲

What more can I do?

Nowadays I don’t find meaning in anything. Be it upskilling, being consistent or whatever the heck. I just don’t see the point in anything. It’s all chaotic and I am not able to comprehend or understand the meaning of life.

The fact is it never ends - one after other. It’s just a vicious cycle called life

Focus on one step at a time.

Try to do the easiest thing that you can do every day. You don’t need to push yourself. You don’t have to do better than yesterday. You don’t have to be perfect or great at it.

Just show up.

Show up at the gym.

Open google news and see if something catches your interest.

Open a book and read couple of lines at least.

You being here and doing this is a great first step.

Just take one more step today towards your happiness.

  1. Inshorts is a good app to increase your knowledge on what's happening around.

  2. If you're into romance/smut books, Colleen Hoover writes few good books 😉. Dan Brown's brooks are really nice IMO (Deception Point, Digital Fortress, Angels and Demons, etc.)

  3. My personal experience with the only gym I went, was a little traumatizing. Since then, I work out at home. Got few weights from Amazon at ₹1.3k something, really good investment IMO. If you get a good gym, go for it though, the trainer can instruct you for diet as well.

  4. Do know about marketing, however can advise on what more can you do. •> Try to call home every night, to keep up with health and everything about your family. •> Go outside and make new friends if possible every other weekend. •> If you don't already have, develop some hobbies like games (sports/video games). Everyday take out some time for yourself, for your mental health and peace.

There's no pressure to do anything/everything, and especially not to do it all at once. But don't forget to do self care (physical and mental both).

All the best for this new step of your life! Happy Adulting 🫰

I'm not okay sharing it in detail. Just the gist, private part(s) of body pe comment pass kiya tha trainer ne. Never going to any gym again.

Don't do too much. You will end up disappointing yourself, everyone has limits. Do 2-3 things well enough everyday, that's enough.

Loneliness - Nothing brings joy anymore

I am a 29 YO single male. I earn decently well for my age. Lately I haven’t been feeling well. As in, life is just passing by and nothing brings me joy anymore - No PS5, No long drives, no movies or shows. Weekends are especially lonely...
