This is a v non-grapevine question but Apple 15 Pro or Google Pixel 8 pro?
I've been flirting with the idea of getting a new phone. Had android all my life, so I'm kinda torn whether I should. People who switched from Android to Apple or vice versa, what's your take? :/
I made the shift from Android to iOS. I love the Apple ecosystem, but that’s because I’ve completely moved to it now.
With the Watch, laptop, earphones, it becomes quite seamless and I find the phone to be amazing.
That said, you need to be financially ready to make switch across multiple things and for subsequent years too :p
Also Pixel 8 Pro won MKBHD’s Smartphone of the Year award.

Go with a mid ranger and save some bucks, pixel phone doesn't support a lot of software features still like call screening etc in india( last time I checked with P7P it was not working, I had to return last pixel due to overheating, I don't want to switch to apple as it has lot of annoying issues until you are fully in their ecosystem , still the file manager and lot of photos app etc just sucks, until you are photo enthusiasts you can avoid both.
I have a mid ranger currently (7TPro OnePlus). My screentime is obnoxious, so both pixel and apple seem like a stupid investment. Idk, let's see. Appreciate the comment tho. 🤙🏽
Recently moved to iPhone 15 from one plus. Biggest pain was transferring WhatsApp data. But apple phones experience is no way comparable with android phones. Love the user experience
Once u change the ecosystem, be ready to spend more and have sometime to learn all the changes. If you’re well to do, Apple ecosystem won’t disappoint u soon

Pixel may/may not have modem issues which drastically affect network connectivity. Had to switch from pixel 7 to iPhone 15 for this reason.
Interesting. My screen time is nuts, so yeah this was definitely helpful. Thanks! 🤙🏽

Once you are in Apple Ecosystem, its tough to like Android. Its bit contradictory but I found Mac+iphone to be a better combination
If you have the budget (not just now, but in future be ready to spend a lot on other products), then the Apple ecosystem is the best. Hardware + Software is the best. It wasn’t the best earlier, but Apple has come a long way since then and currently it is much better than any other company’s offerings
I feel that too. Every other android phone is meh. OnePlus is ded, nothing is not just there yet, Samsung UI is blecchhh, leaves with Apple which again sucks but seems like lesser of all evils. 🦥
Even before buying any of these, think about what your major usage is. Until it is some major gaming/performance intensive task or showing your social status both of these are a waste of money. But again money is a medium and it is well spent on things that give you joy. BTW ios beats android in experience, performance, security.
I moved from iPhone to Pixel 7 last year. LOVING IT.
I mostly own non-apple products though (Samsung - Tab, Earbuds, TV, a Fitbit, PC running Linux). I still have a MacBook though (office and personal)
So if you're not looking to upgrade into the apple ecosystem, it's a sweet deal.

IPhone if you own everything apple.
Or move to pixel,
None, go for an older gen Samsung flagship. They've been making amazing phones. You can find S22 Ultra for cheap these days. Or plain S23 if you want something compact.
Been using S21 and now S23 ultra for a while now and they're amazing. Plus Samsung watch, earbuds are cheaper and similar if not better.
My wife has a 15 pro and the only place where it's better is Video.
Having seen all the limitations of Apple, it's just not worth it. For instance, no one tells you that you'll miss out on the Truecaller notifications whenever you get a call. On iPhone you have to manually search the number. Also, the customisation that Android offers can't really be matched.

Google pixel is not a good idea in india. Heating issues and those cool features aren't available here. I get the feeling that support will be shit too.

Switched from an iPhone 12 to pixel 8 pro and absolutely loving the phone.
If y have budget get 15 pro otherwise pixel 8 pro + yt premium + drive subscription + any music service. Life will be better trust me. I am into all ecosystems. Remember iphones make u do things the way Apple wants while Android esp pixel does things the way u want to. Rest all is not much different. The difference appears to be large as as rarely people dip toes in both ecosystems
