Career confusion

I'm currently a Data Analyst with 6 months of experience. I would like to get into AI/ML and Robotics field. Planning to transition from my current role next year. I'm not sure whether I should become a Software engineer (preferably Backend) or ML Engineer or some Data Science role. I'm currently in Bangalore. Open to relocating to any state (or even country). In the longterm, I want to do something that has both software and hardware in it. Please explain your advice if you can afford some time. Thanks in advance. P.S. I’m a student of BE from a affiliated college under Mumbai university, I’m from Computer Background but for coding is not easy to understand, frame , but I want to work in tech field I chose these two coz it requires only python as a main language, and what jobs are high in demand in recent markets pls can you help me !?

I have been applying for data analyst and junior data scientists role for the last 3 months but not getting enough response. I apply for more than 20+ jobs on daily basis lekin tab bhi kuch nhi ho rha hai. I have built 2 project on ML, 1 on NLP and 3-4 good project on data analytics. I graduated in May 2023 then I decided to learn Data science ( uske pehle bhi college me 3-4 mahine thoda padha tha) now I have so many doubts regarding my career and rejection - Just because I'm fresher that's why they are not choosing me ?? - I'm from non-tech ( Bsc) .. isiliye - or current job market hi accha nhi hai Ab to kabhi kabhi apne decision pr regret bhi hota hai. To solve the experience issue I have decided to do a decent marketing job (only for 6-7months) so that I can show it in my CV aur kuch savings bhi kr lu. Please guide me if you guys have any advice for me. Thanks.

Both pro-cons i'm seeing currently is: Data science: ~ future technology ~ more interesting & diverse work Downside: so much competition as every college now opening new AI ML dept & Because of low entry criteria anyone can jump to this field little interest or few online courses Data Engineer: ~ Entry point is bit tough as Specific technology knowledge req which is generally not being taught in colleges, Hence less competition Downside: Identical & boring tasks mostly Which seems to win in near future in terms of pay or job security? Any suggestions as welcome!

It's been 6 years in the IT industry as a software developer working on both front end and back-end with different technologies.. Now I'm thinking of switching my career towards Machine Learning. Please put your opinions and advice.

Currently I have 1.5 yoe as a data scientist with CTC of 6 lpa. Thinking of transitioning to Data Analyst or SDE but can't figure out. I have graduated in Mechanical Engineering, so I don't have the pedigree to become a good SDE. What you all think?

Skillset : SQL, PowerBI, Python, Advance Excel, ML, Very basic Azure (Just started learning) 1.5 yrs of experience in TCS in PLSQL DB Team I am confused as to which field should I venture into, Big data or data engineering or cloud architect? I like coding but not way too much. (7 on a scale of 1 -10) I love communicating and organising/managing stuff(9 on a scale of 10) I love working with data but I dont want to be a generalist/data analyst.
