Additionally, ethical considerations come into play. Content and marketing folks are pretty much using ChatGPT all the time now. Wondering if coders and operation folks are also using it for work or not. I've started trying long form content generation where tokens are spent repeatedly until the task is complete using code interpreter. Maybe autogpt would be better suited for in depth work. Anyone here using autogpt by any chance?

The lack of critical thinking these days is driving me nuts. I've got a few people on my team who've somehow BS'd their way into roles they can't handle. They can't do anything that takes more than a minute of actual thought. It's like all I get is copy-pasted ChatGPT output for the simplest questions. Makes me seriously worried about how they will get better over time (as a lot of us did). We're churning out folks who can't think for themselves, and it's scary as hell.

It could be for your work-related solutions or other stuff. It would be great to see how different people are using it. I can start already, I have started using it to generate the product feature launch posts that I put across to inform the customers, but it is at a "fun" level.

One of my friends recently started learning programming(ofc Data science) and he asked me a few questions about creating good projects for his resume. While having this conversation, we were talking about how to effectively debug the code. I asked him to check for solutions from the stack overflow, and instead he asked me, “What’s Stack Overflow?” Then I asked him how would he resolve the errors when he run into them and he said “ChatGPT”💀

Today I realized that I'm dependent on chatGPT for writing code and debugging. The problem is that I am a college student (5th sem). I am starting my career using these tools which might not have been the case for anyone who is a little older. Is it an advantage for our generation or a handicap? I absolutely love how easy things are for us. Can this hurt in the future though, how? What are the views of the old folks?

How to teach my junior who only relies on chatgpt. They will not look into documentation/IDE suggestions to understand what they are copying. I am concerned that in this way, they aren't going to learn about the entire system and grow to work independently. How data flows in the system and where to look into if something is wrong. Basically, they are not trying to understand the code they are writing. How do I bring this to them and explain that they need to use less chatgpt to actually understand what they are supposed to do or are going to write. Once they have that experience, I am fine with them using chatGPT as much as they want to.
