What are the parameters for you to select a company?
You have got a Job offer. What are the parameters other than salary are a must for you before you sign the contract? Only if these parameters are there then only you will go ahead; else not.
My personal take on reviews from Glassdoor is that I cannot completely rely on them for a several reasons:
1. They are posted after HR has asked to do
2. The negatives might come from those who have been asked to leave and doesn't show the two sided picture
It is gloomy.

Very true. Go with your gut and assess the person you are dealing with when you get to an interview. Your team culture needs to be good.
Harder in large companies to do cos of all the gas questions asked and templatised answers given by them.
Make a small set of pointed questions (with variated ways of asking them if they try to dodge).
It is okay to be polite bur firm about things that are important to you during the process.

Fixed work hours, work life balance.
How do you define WLB?
Are there any specifics which you are must?
Also, how do you entertain that before you join?

We can ask upfront. Work hours is direct and easy to ask. I usually ask before the final step or sometimes right in the beginning. Either ask or mention casually that you are most productive during these hours. Basically read the room but be upfront about it.
Nature/culture of manager/team you gotta figure in the interview process. They are being interviewed as much as they are interviewing us.

Please do check the company's Ambitionbox and Glassdoor ratings. If they are less than 4, more often than not it will be a toxic workplace and may have several red flags including delayed salary, micro management, etc.
Good work culture. Reviews from glass door would speak mountains.
How do you define good work culture? How do you ensure that good work culture before you join and see it by yourself?
Treating your employees as “colleagues” rather than employees. I’ve been to a couple of orgs besides this now. So far, the culture at Amex is wonderful.
When you feel valued and your opinions heard, you know you are in the right place.
Forget Ambition box and Glassdoor paid and managed reviews. Check reviews on mothshut and you shall get a clear picture. Have saved myself a bad leap from 2 companies by viewing employees review on mouthshut.
Came to know later from the friends that the reviews were spot on across mouthshut website and fake on Glassdoor and Ambition box
