So doctors in India are poor?. Is there a doctor who charges less than 200 in blore for a visit?. Am talking about doctors with evening private practice. We call politicians and bureaucrats as corrupt, but the day the corruption medicals field comes out in open, these life savers will be make them look like kids.

By comparison, yes, of course. Doctors study till their late 20s, work insane hours and then see their similar aged friends who did engineering/ MBA get paid more than them.

From what I have observed. It's very difficult to be a doctor in India and that too one with thriving career. 1. Toughest race to admission/ securing seat 2. Almost every year unpredictability around entrance exams/ portion/ seats/ NEET 3. Hefty donation for management seats 4. Then getting admission in far flung places where there may cultural fit issues, language, food 5. Having the mental strength to continue for 5, 2, 3, etc. years of studies, fellowship, etc. 6. Seats for specialization, etc. 7. Till the time, they are a specialist, they are almost 40 8. Debilitating mental health that cannot be discussed openly without the fear of repercussions Most only start earning well after 38 or 40. I cannot imagine having so much perseverance till 40. Surgeons also have to maintain reputation, etc. That is added risk IMO. I really have to bow down to a doctor especially an MD/ MS. Cannot fathom what folks would be going thru who had to drop becoming a Doc and make a career in BDS/ Physio. I mean no shade just that they have to accept the situation and move on. That's commendable. 🙌

This is for the doctors of the western world. Not for ours. Our doctors enjoy absolute unaccountability, pampered beyond belief. Their cribbing is the equivalent of top executives who say things like they can't find right talent

Doctors in India might be overworked because they are greedy as hell. Like any professional they are self centred, insecure and scared to shit people. They won't train juniors out of professional envy. Unless that junior is related to them.

Isn't the one thing you really want to be a doctor is Empathy .. empathy towards people .. empathy towards your Patient Have people stooped so low that we are not talking about the what happened to the individual to take such a step and educating people about stress and mental health rather we are gonna cry that we work more and no one is grateful for them

Therapy : An Absurd Profession

THE POSITIVE SIDE: Sometimes you kinda eventually develop a soft corner for your therapist (especially if they belong to the opposite gender) due to the following pivotal reasons: 1. They are perhaps the only person you have who "listens" to you and helps you de-tanglenhour thoughts 2. Their tone is pacifying and welcoming. 3. Sometimes when you are venting out, you logical side of the brain takes the back seat and your emotions take over. During such conditions, you end up trusting someone if they are listening to you with an active interest. BUT BUT BUT ! THE APPARENT DARK SIDE: 1. They do all the sweet talk for money. While it may seem like a hard pill to swollow, its just like any other medical profession like cardiologist or radiologist, who wouldnt even look at you if you dont have money. 2. They will obviously judge you and talk about you to their close colleagues or intimate friends. 3. They would want you to BE SAD so that they can get paid. Infact my therapist once clearly said that we only take 20% accountability for everything when I was thanking her (indirectly hinting that if something goes wrong its on me and if something goes right its also on me) Thanks to my therapist I dont even trust my shadow anymore.

Have a hypothesis that medical testing is finding illnesses so we never go off their market

My mother is diagnosed with Grade 4 liver damage today. She also has Type 2 diabetes which "does not subside" She doesn't eat any sugars, cut out starch, very very occasional outside/packaged food, no alcohol, has been working (job and household), works around clock in the house Taking allopathic medicines for diabetes, now may start diet restrictions for Liver damage too Strongly feel she is being mis-diagnosed. The hospitals and diagnostic centre are trying to milk healthy people too. How else do you keep up revenue Have you faced similar situations? What can be done here? P.S. Most of the doctors we have met are big C, the ones who sound genuine are the ones not treating 😪

India loosing doctors credibility

Is there any one else who feels India doesn't have good doctors anymore. I have seen some great hospitals for orthopaedic surgeon and none of them able to treat my knee pain. Whenever I visited any doctor either they pick up phone call of their friends in mid consultation or just type the medicines name or irrevelant tests. Now I feel like I can't trust any doctor in India. Very less portion of good doctors remaining here. Did anyone of you faced bad thing in hospital for you or your parents.
