Back in 2015 people were paid 16-20 LPA in their first Product Design Job. Visual designers were around 14-18 LPA in new startups.

Now in 2023, if your visual work is really good you can easily make 3x of your current salary

That’s a pretty good salary. Get better and showcase your work more you’ll get noticed and should help in better salaries. Long term view, Visual designers don’t get paid as well as ux/product designers.

Am I being offered too less?

I have recently been offered a product designer role at one of the Big 4 companies. But the offer they have made is at 12lpa. I have around 3 years of overall experience and a Master's degree in design. There seemed to be no wiggle room ...

Average salary for Product Designer

I have 1 year of experience in product design (UI/UX) and getting approx 6.5 LPA. Completed my graduation last year in Journalism then switched to design. Is the salary ideal or can I expect better salary now?
