Reservation Bill in Karnataka!!!

Is this true? Does it mean all non locals working there will be removed? How would it play out? What are your thoughts?

I guess there is already a precedence in north India of courts striking down reservations in private sector. So we might really not see this being implemented in Karnataka. Also Supreme Court is already hearing petitions of similar bills passed by Haryana and Andhra Pradesh govt. So this will just get added to that list and will not be implemented until Supreme Court decides on it.

I feel it's unreasonable to require MNCs to disclose the number of their employees who are Kannadigas and to prioritize Kannadigas for employment. Such policies seem to be attempting to introduce reservation concepts into sectors like IT, which have traditionally operated on merit-based principles. Implementing such policies may breed resentment against the state and its communities. These measures could also raise doubts among investors about the viability of investing in a state with such regulations. Growing up, Bangalore was renowned for its welcoming people, pleasant weather, and thriving IT sector. However, with increasing instances of hooliganism and policies like these, Bangalore risks losing its appeal, leaving only its pleasant weather. As for my own background, my father is Kannadiga and my mother is Tamilian. Should my company consider me a Kannadiga?

Is the karnataka gov knowingly creating a rift between kannadigas and non kannadigas for political gains ?. Politicians tactically divert the attention of the public, no one questions high cost of living, poor infrastructure, high cost of primary education etc. The day people ask the right questions, india will grow exponentially

Karnataka cabinet approves draft bill mandating 50% reservation for locals in management jobs, 75% in non-management categories. Although this is still a draft bill and there will be a lot of challenges before it can get passed both legislative and judicial. Brace yourselves, winter is coming!
