Wish to start something of my own

1. I am having a strong problem statement, which is thoroughly validated, along with a business plan, but I am not working or starting it as I lack confidence because I don't have a team in place. ( I am an IIM graduate and currently a product manager - giving these details just to get a sense of my background, which might help in the type of suggestions from your side). 2. How can I find a co-founder/partner/core team member? Please advise me on where to look for co-founders or people that share a similar mindset. I have over 15 years of experience working in IT and feel stuck here with no growth. At this juncture I am worried if I can get any offers outside as my skills are not great and I feel someone with around 5 years exp can do. Most of the work I did is a middle man work between business and developers either a lead or manager etc. any suggestions? On what path should I choose?

Hi all, I almost mid 30s and been in Bangalore for 2.5 years. I believe I must build a steady second income in the next 6/7 years. Dont get me wrong , i like working - and intend to do that for as long as I can , but my new employment choices may decrease with time. Yet , have no idea what I want to do. I like technical work but am not insanely intelligent - just average. Would want some feedback on how to motivate myself. I have some self diagnosed weaknesses * I am not unpleasant to talk to - but dont make or interested in making a lot of friends and interacting with people (still have not made any new friends here) Lazy definitely :)

Im working as a developer in a unicorn startup with good salary for my age. But from college time I was interested in entrepreneurship trying different thing and later after completing college I joined this unicorn and worked hard, shifted to their new stealth startup and worked there with for 1yr, tried to work in every possible opportunity that I got with design team, product managers and learnt how to build a startup from scratch, but later due to creative issues in top level management and less revenue than the competitors the startup was shutdown and I was moved back to the unicorn and again started working as an developer. Tried different things from then 1. Tried joining top B schools but couldn’t afford 2. Tired pitching ideas to friends, seems like no one interested in taking risk leaving the life they have now 3. Tried starting few things on my own but always end up failing with no support 4. Tried attending conferences but that too never led me anywhere Now don’t have as many friends interested in entrepreneurship or mentors to guide me. Just passing the days doing the same work again and again please suggest me what to do next or give me any kind of advice

I am a graduate from a tier-1 engineering college and will be starting out with a job in a few months at a financial services MnC in an analyst role. I am looking to build some income streams apart from my salary over the next few years and wanted to gain some freelancing skills to build an online business but am confused about where and how to start. I've seen people working on software projects and stuff like digital marketing but can't really picture myself in similar roles. I'm not a techie, my interest lies mainly in finance and business but I'm fine with exploring and venturing into something new as well. Would be great if someone who has done it in the past can please guide as to what can be some promising skills to gain and how to go about it.

I am 3 years into my career and I have deep passion for Software engineering. I genuinely like it. I want to become a better engineer by going deep. But since the time of my internships in college, I have always been fascinated by startups and want to have one of my own. Now I have an idea(again very passionate about) and I’m working on it but my dilemma is that if I run a startup, it’s going to take me away from my other interest of engineering. Any thoughts?

Hi all! I have 16 years of work ex in Corporate sales and currently working in a leading indian Fintech from last 9 years. I am feeling stuck here with no visibility of growth or even sense of job security. I didn't take risks in my career as I am sole bread earner for my family but it was biggest risk I guess I took. I am sure alot of you are living away from your family. Wanted to know how do you take care of your parents and their expectations and at the same time fulfilling your career ambitions? Sharing my personal story here. I come from a small town in Rajasthan and I belong to a upper middle class Jain family. With God’s grace, we are comfortable financially with a sizeable ancestral wealth. My father is 58 and is getting weak and old with time. He wants me to comeback and take care of the family business and properties. He fears that if the transition is not made quickly then my uncle’s family will take over my share. (My uncle is very well connected politically in my hometown) But at the same time, I am not interested in taking over the business as of now and want to explore more in the field of tech and startups while living in different cities in Indian and abroad. I am now in a dilemma as to what is the right path moving forward and how do I balance my individual aspirations with my family responsibilities? I am sure alot of you must have faced the similar issues and I am seeking your advice or experience in handling such problems.

I’m a college grad from IIT in CSE. I haven’t done any competitive coding or any proper coding during my college days for that matter. I have lost confidence in myself for some reason. I had taken up a business job but left it in a few months because I thought I could do better. I want to do competitive coding but as soon as I open my laptop, anxiety kicks in. I need guidance on how to proceed and what recourses should I use. I don’t want to waste my degree as I feel I can do better than my previous job. Please help me on fighting my demons.
