Term and health insurance
Can someone suggest a good term insurance plan. I need a cover of at least 3cr. (Open to suggestions based on my salary) Also need health insurance for both parents, and self. Company provides a basic plan of 7L. Please recommend. Basic details: Age 30 Salary > 50LPA
HDFC Ergo health insurance - a bit higher premium but best claimTosettle ratio
ICICI Lombard Term Insurance
For term insurance, till age 60-65 makes sense
DYOR, please read all the details/T&C before purchasing it.

I agree with this HDFC ergo is best in the market for health insurance. Buy separate insurance for you and parents as your premium will be less as compared to parents.
ICICI is good for term insurance. You can also buy LIC term insurance online.
Please don't fall into the trap of endowment plans, the term plan should be plain vanilla term only.

If you are looking for the 3cr equivalent of today in 2049 money . It will be around 21cr . Calculate your estimated yearly expenses today and multiply by 7.
The same goes for health insurance. One great plan is by religare that will give coverage up to 6 cr (not immediately but after multiple renewals)

Recently updraged my term insurance of 1.75cr by topping it up with another 3.25 cr.
I had term life insurance from max, and the second policy i got was also from max.
I’d recommend checking out ditto, they explained everything and made the process seamless. Not promoting them, just happy with their services
Any big company for term insurance is OK. Ignore the advice written about the claim settlement ratio. They don't really understand what they are talking about nor how to interpret the data. Health insurance is little complex than life insurance. Select based on habits, family history, budget etc. Safe to ignore Religare and Star insurance in my opinion. You don't need most expensive health insurance plan either. It just waste of money. I'm a senior insurance advisor in life and health, both. Check my profile or mail, [email protected] with your requirements. Don't make financial decisions based on random internet suggestions. Whether life or health insurance, your family members will make a claim for you, not you.
It might be cliche, however suggest HDFC Ergo and HDFC Life. I have moved from STAR and ICICI respectively.

When it comes to health, look no further than Even Healthcare. Simple and covers for anything that I need. Really comprehensive. I don't spend out of pocket at all.

IMO even is probably one of the best which is out there. They have a good cover up to 1cr for IPD and 10 lakh for OPD.
They have in-house doctors available for tele consultation and they have recently opened two clinics in Bengaluru too. Over all experience has been good till now
