Short term investments
Where do you all save emergency funds and other savings for short term needs. Let's say if you wanna save some amount of your salary and don't want it in a bank, where would you put that money so it gets better returns than bank and it can be easily liquidated. Please suggest where you would put it and how much returns you may expect.

Arbitrage fund - 6-7 %, capital gains taxation 10-15%
@NumbScholar FD carries a tax equivalent to the income tax slab I suppose.
Don't mix ease of ready access for emergency funds with returns. They are incompatible.
Keep them wherever you can get them quickly.
Linked FD to my savings account bank.
Will get FD returns if I end up not using it
Partly in mutual funds and partly in FD. Outsource your money management activities if it is not your forte and/or you don’t have the time for it.
If you have neo bank account like fi, here you can park your emergency fund in smart deposits the liquidity is also very good, personally using it for a year now no complaints also you will get interest over it.. hope it helps
