Which type of companies generally provide a higher compensation

People who've worked in both product based and service based companies, what is the difference?

Hi all, as I'm in the GOI sector, I have no idea about salary structure in private firms. What would be the salary package with 15+ YOE?

As the title suggests I’m looking forward to a discussion around the future of SE roles in India. There isn’t a lot of information around career advancement and/or compensation metrics available. About me: I’m working at an early stage startup as an SE(not really into this but as a generalist tried doing whatever I can and currently here). have a total of 5+ YOE with 3 in pre sales at an IT major. Was the first SE here. Really enjoy the 0-1 phase and have worked in this startup for 2+ years across Customer Success and Sales. Should I look forward to growing in the SE field or try to move to Product(in the same company)….What would be better in the long run in terms of work, compensation and growth( SE, sales or product)…

Considering the following two offers: IBM Training location: Bengaluru After completion: PAN India Role: Associate System Engineer Comp: 4.5 LPA with 25k joining bonus. Product based MNC with 2-5k employees worldwide. Office in Bengaluru. Role: Associate Product Engineer Comp: 9 LPA If you compare the compensation, then it feels like a no-brainer decision. But IBM is more recognisable and I feel it might add weight to my resume for future switches. Passed out in 2023. Only intern experiences previously. Any advice?

As a business graduate, it's often humbling to see the tech salaries based on my YOE (4-7 bracket) with the people at the top end earning 50-60+ lpa. (Fixed) Assuming i want to optimise for Money - What can I do as a business graduate to do well similar to tech folks? Would love to hear from all of you. P.S. No IB/Consulting advice please. Not the type of work I've liked 😄

I hope to stay here for few more years but Compensation discrepancy kills me . Why do old team members not much valued or compensated by the boses , even though effort level and delivery is same
