Just watched 1st episode of season 3 of shark tank all the deals are royalty deals Thoughts ?

Ever noticed that Inshorts founder asks maximum questions at Shark Tank and 90% of the time drops off the deal. Talks a lot about profitability, scale and expense management. Attached is a snapshot of his own company that has ballooning losses and expenses. Views ?

New season will have many new sharks along with old ones. Is anyone still watching, I lost much interest after S1 and ashneer departing

After Shark Tank, we have seen Indian Angels and StartAb but I believe the actual problem is still not being solved. Tbh, more than 90% of companies shown in these TV shows are more like businesses rather than startups with not so unique MOAT or tech platforms. Moreover, they are about funding businesses that are already revenue generating and negotiating equity deals with half of the show time is all about equity negotiations only. Still there are many with some unique ideas in tech landscape who are in search of Tech Co-founders to build the platform and many couldn't find one resulting in not starting their startup. What are your thoughts on a new show completely for Aspiring Entrepreneurs with unique ideas in tech with no revenue or product most for ones seeking help in building product/tech and stories where even an investment of Rs. 1 lakh can bring a big difference bcz even without that 1 lakh they could have never turned that idea into MVP and start that journey

I almost missed that the season even got released. This is strange, cuz it's a show I am excited about and they have super famous people on it. I don't see it much on any mediums (insta/LinkedIn, etc.) They really should have marketed better

I think the shark tank is fake. Why would people sell 2% or 5% of their company for a few laks or 1 crore?. I don't understand. In S3 they are talking about royalty. I have worked with a few such royalty cases. Most of the time royalty is paid only when there is a tech transfer or some sort of IP which is clearly linked to the sales generated. Why would I pay an investor royalty when there is no clarity or measurable transfer of material benefits?. Some of them are already making profits. The money they raised is just a quarterly profit. Why would I sell a good stake for funds that will not even help me expand within the state? In S1 ashneer would make a comment - "no one is going to help you. You are responsible for making your business". I totally agree with than statement. Having worked with a few investors, I can say they don't help much beyond asking for status. They are making a fool of us.
