Hey GRAPEVINERS, I came on this amazing platform 2 months back and soon I got to know that even anonymously I feel awesome connection with you all-( The identity without revealing the identity), whether it's about asking for masters abroad or about product management, someone was always there in the comments with satisfactory response that cleared my queries . we are waving bye to 2023 , it actually taught me a lots of things -somethings were great ,somethings were worse , but whatever it is , that's making me stronger day by day , I hope 2024 will bring the best out of me as I am trying to work on myself and I hope guys it will be great for you too New goals , New Challenges , New opportunities , New People , New life is waiting ahead!! Here’s mine, Care deeply about any work that you touch, give your best and more. The effort really shows, especially when you can solve something better than what they hoped for.

I want to apply for credit cards but I'm not sure which one I should be apply for. Can you suggest me with credit you guys use and found them useful in terms of benefits and stuff. And in general what all should I consider before choosing and applying for one.

Mine are: Shreyas Doshi (tweets) Manas Saloi (blog) Paras Chopra (blog) All 3 have shared superb content for free in their blogs/tweets years of wisdom summarized for consumption I don't read books often so am grateful to people like these compress so much knowledge in a consumable form

Two months ago I posted this rant on Grapevine (https://share.gvine.app/CLkpBuEqcCvrzKvx6) which I think is one of the most viral posts on the platform. Since then I took a break, learned Vipassana, went to the mountains, read, and reflected. Here are some truth bombs that have been exploding in my head 1) There is a leadership crisis Is it me or do today's self-proclaimed leaders just suck? Look around Grapevine: insecure toxic managers forcing people back to the office, overhiring CEOs who don't know WTF to do, and founders just abandoning ship. "Leaders" and founders today are about as disconnected from reality as the political class, because like politicians most of them are privileged, sheltered, and already wealthy. 2) Technological innovation doesn't mean progress. I couldn't laugh harder when I saw the Indus Valley report basically saying that maybe all of us VCs overestimated how much money we could make funding lending and consumer apps. Maybe funding lending apps that "open up credit for the poor" isn't sustainable when the rate of interest is >18%? Technological innovation doesn't always mean real-world progress. A lot of times, it just ends up perpetuating and amplifying pre-existing inequality. 3) Endless growth toward nothing Most of India's startup money comes from the West. Most of that money was just printed to repeatedly get out of an economic crisis. That's it. There was no great vision to fund the future of humanity behind all this new capital. Just Central Bankers and Presidents pressing the "Create Money" button to delay the inevitable. Nothing but a gratitude post for the amazing community of people i got introduced to thanks to this app. I'm just a 22 yo kid new to all the corporate jargon of savings and investments and taxes and wlb and all of that stuff, and i believe this platform has helped me tremendously to gain knowledge of - why we should have an emergency fund and how to build it. Really needed a perspective of how it should look like and GV gave me exactly that - how to manage investments, I've started to earn a bit well recently so definitely a huge ups on the knowledge I got on investments here. - how to become a better swe. Some amazing folks occasionally drop in some very rare tips, love to learn more and get an insight into how exp folks think and work. and lots of other stuff such as which startups to be aware of having shite culture, good places to join, occasional memes and everything else. Terrific product in the making, would love to see it scale even more in coming times. Now that i have your attention, DMs rolling out when 😀
