Which chair do you use?

As engineers, I now realise a good chair and a table is a must to protect our long term health. I mostly work from home and sit in front of my computer 10+ hours per day with breaks in between. These days I am getting backache as my current chair is falling apart. I wanted to know your opinions on buying an expensive chair and are they actually worth it. I shortlisted a few below: 1. Herman Miller - Aeron (~Rs.1.2L) 2. Steelcase - Leap or Gesture (~Rs.1L+) 3. Haworth - Fern (Rs.~70k) I wanted to know if anyone has bought these chairs (or have any other suggestions), have any long term experience with it, and are they actually worth the cost. TIA!

I had a Green Soul gaming chair. Super comfy, paid 20k for it. Now I earn 3x, moved out to Bangalore and used a plastic chair I bargained down to 450. Still super comfy after padding with blankets and towels.

I use a plastic neelkamal chair with a back support pillow and soft cushion. My idea is the make sitting uncomfortable, so that I take breaks and not spend too much time sitting continuously.

i have Herman Miller and steelcase at the office so got the same. Leap is the best chair in the world. steelcase series 2 is good for the poor strata of tech

The one's you've mentioned are definitely way out of my budget, but surely they must be worth it. I once spent around 20k on a chair when most folks in my circle wouldn't spend beyond 4k on a chair. I consider that to be one of my best purchases. I could easily spend 10+ hours on them. I am sure the one's you've shortlisted must be worth it. If possible, go to store, experience them in-person and only then make a purchase.

Have a featherlite Antom chair (costs ~10k)at home currently, which is decently good. They also have another chair called Helix, which is their top chair and is very good too ( costs 25k approx). You need to go to the store and check them out. Earlier, i had an urban ladder and a green soul chair, both of which weren't very ergonomic in reality.

Herman Miller is the one I have used before, no idea about the others. My previous organisation had these chairs and it is the best I have seen throughout my career spanning around 13 years. You can blindly go for this one.

I used the first 2 in my office and Featherlite at home. In terms of comfort all of them are similar(9-12 hrs of daily sitting). But I must say although costing less than 20 percent Featherlite is best. Again I am using one of the top model of Featherlite which auto adjust the seat position as you bent backward forward and have best in class breathable fabric.

Steelcase personality in one room, green soul top of the line in another room. You don't notice too much difference after a point. Just make sure they're adjusted well.

What chair do you use? Need suggestions

I spend ~8hrs daily sitting in a chair. My current chair is old, and needs to be replaced ASAP. My budget is 10k INR. I am preferring an office chair with neck support.
