How do I negotiate when HR reverts on his initial numbers

Have been interviewing for roles and the HRs are low balling like crazy even though they most definitely have the money, talking about non-startups listed companies as well. Makes me think if offer shopping or editing a current offer with a higher number and then shopping is the only way to go

HR is is trying to lowball me into accepting an offer at my current compensation stating market conditions. I don’t have any other offers yet. What can be done here? 🥲

I have given interviews and cleared them. I got a call from HR asking for payslips and another offer details. They said they will get back with offer. How to go about here? If they come with a lower offer than what i asked, how much liberty i have to ask further. Does HR will come with 2-3 various levels of offer and then try to negotiate with me. Any help or insights would be helpful in how HR comes with offer details. My interviews were pretty good and i think they like me.

Recruiter: Will call you asking basic details, without knowing anything about the job description and team involved. When you ask any questions, they are always coming back with information, sometimes they don't too Actual project team: more often than not, in need and if they like you they will communicate very clearly that we want you. When asked about benefits etc general response or always HR will connect. HR: comes during negotiation time, will not anything about the role, will come with sole purpose of saving some bucks on CTC. More often than not, they will be the reason a candidate withdraws from process, or negotiation doesn't work, even though the actual team might be okay with negotiation. This is my experience, HR is giving such a vague offer which looks good on paper but on hand it's nothing in terms of growth and pay increase. Same old CTC vs gross salary shenanigans. When negotiating the HR thinks I'm not worth it and asks for proofs of every deduction from current employer. This is such a stark difference from the Actual team who interviewed me and were very good and open.

I have been attending interviews for this company for 3 weeks with around 5 rounds of technical interviews. I did well in most technical interviews and okay in one. And HR said I am selected but they are trying to get an idea of my fitting in the role or some shit. The management is asking them to position me in one level lower than what was mentioned when they were hiring as i am not suitable for tech lead position(I would agree though and I am okay with being positioned less as i am more interested in IC roles). And was asked to reduce CTC as well. So they are providing 5 lakhs less than what i asked and i also have another offer 3 lakhs more than this offer. This offer is remote but the other offer is wfo. I don't hate wfo but wfh would be good as it is flexible. How do i convince the HR to get what i asked early? I am thinking of walking away if they low ball.

what is this weird culture of FANG these days? got interviewed for a position with on of the companies, here’s my rant. - HRs don’t have the decency to revert back promptly for feedback for even if it’s positive. - Interviewer not opening up the webcam but asking you to even share your screen, webcam and even your property papers if they can. - Lowballing offers, Got an offer which is not even close to the current TC, and yes we had the current compensation discussion beforehand. - Quoting some numbers before the interviews and giving a 20-30% lesser offer after the interviews. This is when the candidate received strong hire. I don’t know where as a job market we are heading towards, but FANG culture has been on a downwards path. Got interviewed with them around 4 years back and i can see things are not the same now.
