Need advice!
I recently joined a company and I got to know that culture was toxic and it was not performing well. So shall I proceed further or I should resign. I don't have any offer in hand but cleared a few interviews.

I’m a digital marketing job where my manager was fired a week before.
Now they have moved me under another person for reporting but he is so bossy and attitudes and mainly he never understands marketing. He is more of an operation guy.
Life is getting toxic under him as for each and everything need to explain a lot and he gives me random other work which is not relevant to me and takes time.. just after my old manager went, I’m spending like 12-14 hours everyday.. too much off mental stress..
Also the founder believes him more than anyone in company.
So I’m planning to resign immediately, I don’t have any job offer and so far just giving interview in 2 company’s since last week but I guess it will take more time to get a job as market scenario is not good..
I’m ok to take a hit for 1-2 month for now as resigning immediately and just focus on getting a better job.
So need your thoughts and opinion on this..
Since you have dependents and the current market is very very very volatile, 2 months runway is not sufficient. I know it sounds harsh but please try to land an offer first and then quit. One suggestion is asking for sabbatical meanwhile or faking dengue if you can and taking leaves. Use that time to job hunt like crazy.
My suggestion: Pls don’t do it, if you have family and you’re the sole earner. I got laid off in Feb, company paid till June. Had given multiple interviews but didn’t convert. Interview calls were there only till July. Since last 2 months, I hardly got any interview calls or short lists.
Market is very bad. Companies are taking your suggestions(in the form of assignments), but not selecting. Specially in digital marketing(options are pretty less).
Until you get a job, my suggestion would be to continue working. I know it’s difficult but the horror of not getting job and staying jobless will be even more unpleasant.
Oh, this makes me little more scared seeing the job market. Are you from digital marketing field and saying it’s been 4–5 months you’re not able to get job ??
I can see lot of opening but the packages are very very less to what I get now.
Yes. It’s actually been almost 8 months. Since the past 2-3 months, there had been hardly any openings. Yea, for senior people that packages quoted are pretty low.
If you’re confident in your decision and feel your intuition- just do it. But don’t forget to account for dependents if any
Thanks, I’m not that well confident but I’m feeling that if I leave the job.. then can focus and get a new one in 2 months time.
Yes have a family and I’m only earning member, wife is homemaker but can withstand 2 months as don’t have any EMIs.. it’s just monthly rent, expense etc. So that’s why feeling to take the decision.
Don't do it. Get at least 6 months money in the bank. Try to set boundaries in the meantime. Outright refuse to work more than 7-8 hours. What's the worst that can happen? You were anyway planning to quit.
I've been caught in layoff in September and even with 6-7 months runway, I'm seeing more mental tension because we never know what can happen in this market. Resign only if you believe you can tackle that.
My advice instead, would be to try and make up with this new guy. Try scheduling more one on one calls and ask him about his opinions, looking like you're trying to show interest in learning. That should reduce the amount of work you get a bit, iff he believes you're learning to adapt.
Search for new job in the meanwhile.
It’s up to you. What you value more ? Mental peace or job? Go for whatever your mind tells you. There is no right or wrong this. Good luck bro

I come from a good college (tier 2) with very good placements but because of mental health reasons ( I was severely struggling) i had to skip placements. After being unemployed for 4 months after graduation my family forced me into takin...
Currently working as SDE-2 at Amazon, promoted some 1 year back.
I'm totally burned out from work pressure, oncalls, layoff and performance review cycles every 3 months. Thinking of resigning without any offer by June/July.
