Founder's Office Salary at a Series B Tech Startup
Hi, I'm looking for info on compensation for the founder's office / CEO's office roles in the market currently. I'm interviewing for company and the comp conversation will begin soon. The role will entail bizops, reporting, strategic research, new initiatives and fundraising. I have >1 year of quality experience in a startup + a good undergrad biz education and proof of work.

The perfect explanation doesn’t exist….. 😂😂
For Series B, minimum I would ask for is 12 fixed + 3 variable. ESOPs I would ask for at least 10 coz only 25% vests in Year 1

Was working while enrolled in college. This will be my first yearly comp conversation. Need info to benchmark for myself.

around 15 LPA would be a good benchmark, if you believe in the vision, try to go higher on ESOPs

At Series B - I'd say you should ask for around 14/15 cash and then ESOPs on top of that

Updating the thread for anyone following:
I landed 10L fixed (including joining bonus) and 2L ESOPs.
I would have been happier with 12L fixed and 5L ESOPs but they refused to negotiate over the current structure.
The reason they gave me for the ceiling was that I am fresh out of college and comp benchmark for people from similar education backgrounds (who usually land entry level Big 4 roles).
My comp seems good in comparison to my peers currently but seems lower from an industry benchmark perspective as stated in the thread.
