Need suggestions
My business unit got shutdown in march. Leader told to check internal positions by April ending. If we are not able to find, they told we should voluntarily resign and they will give two months severance. I got an offer from outside but yet to resign. Shall I initiate my resignation and take the severance pay? If I take the severance pay and don’t intimate the next company, will it be a problem? Also, does taking severance pay cause any issues in future?

Make sure you’ve got everything in some kind of writing if you’re planning to resign. A lot of cases have been going on where the employee ends up getting fucked over once they do it.
Apart from that I don’t think it should cause any implications on your career.
