8 months ago, McK employee lost his life. It's a shame that everyone has forgotten about this.
Saurabh Kumar Laddha was a 25-year-old consultant at McK Mumbai. On February 23, 2024, Saurabh returned from a work trip to Ahmedabad and, later that evening, took his own life by jumping from the ninth floor of his apartment in Wadala, Mumbai. The police attributed his death to work pressure. Saurabh was literally IITM+IIMC. He joined McK as a junior analyst in August 2022. Do you really think it can be attributed to work pressure? I know of friends in the MBB circuit and at it's best they have to work long hours and at it's worst it is the manifestation of the most toxic culture that pushes people to either take anti-depressants or uppers to work harder. I was on Reddit today and saw these comments. It is just sad that this country can't do justice to those who choose to stay behind.
