 But her hand is 1.5LPM

Damn, 1.5lpm is too low considering their ctc.

Probably they are adding 4 years stocks and more joining bonuses. In that case it's possible

Product Designer

Prob hiring from top tier 1 college + full stack knowledge + DSA + Leetcode rank etc . Basically the best of the best get these packages .

even then i feel fresh you can get lower emd of the range like 32.3 -45LPA because that what amazon ,google etc gives .

Operations Engineer

They add lot of stocks for 4 yr + xyz that's why it's inflated, base is not that high.

Depends on which role you get hired. Considering freshers, no one in their right mind in India (Indian startups or companies hiring for Indian offices) pay this salary.

Consultant

They used to offer a CTC of 38 (includes stock, benefits, etc.) back in '22 at IIT. So, this is definitely not true

1.5 lpm still is awesome given many experienced folks don't get it in such companies

I believe it is extremely difficult to judge exact level of an individual during an interview. It is better to also use past salary as some indication of value to last company. Having said that, the company needs to get to the correct salary range depending on performance in first 6 months.

I got to know a senior leadership member at a popular startup suggested to deliberately do poor appraisal for an employee so that she resigns herself.

Bad times ahead with companies forcing employees to join back offices and planning silent layoffs.

PS: By "forcing" I mean not leaving employees with much of an option other than to quit.
