Indians are crooks. Change my mind.

I’ve always had this question on why Indians are very stingy when it comes to paying money for premium products. I agree there are Indians especially in the young generation who aren’t shy from spending for quality products but the masses are still stuck in the bargaining or cheap mindset. When we look for cars the first thing we probably check is kitna mileage dega ? When we look at a premium product we compare it to a copy or a product that does not offer the same quality or service that a premium product offers. What are the reasons to it and when or how can we come out of it. This is one of the reasons we have got the “slave / miser ” label outside our county and why we’ve got weak passports which make it difficult to take a vacation like citizens of other countries .

It's a very Indian mindset to treat or look down upon people who make a lot of money. We find some or the other reason to bring them down. We call them names. Though most of our life problems can be solved by money. Just like there is an American dream I think the Indian dream is to stay middle class and bitch about people who do the hard work. I understand that there are certain classes of people who are truly disadvantaged in terms of caste or patriarchy but for others it's just being lazy and reluctant to change. Bitching about people who are successful just gives them a sense of achievement without actually putting in the effort.

I recently replied to a post about referrals and received a lot of resumes for referrals While going through one of the resume I noted a portfolio site, it looked pretty impressive from a UI/UX/Design point of view Designing a minimal yet engaging site is not easy, I was revisiting the site to take notes and was messing around with different features, and I used the search feature which TOOK ME TO THE ORIGINAL PERSON’S WEBSITE The person ripped off someone’s work and didn’t even bother updating some of the links I value integrity, I’ve been designing my portfolio from scratch from a while now, I respect people for their work. This is infuriating to me, to some it might sound like an overreaction ( maybe it is ) but to me theft of work is one of the lowest act a person can do Now that the rant is over, I’ll add objectively why this is bad for everyone ( yes all the parties involved here ) 1. You ( the thief ): Due to the buggy nature of the page, anyone visiting and using features would be redirected to the original person’s site. Assuming you have this site to show off your profile, this will invalidate everything on your resume, if you lied here what else are you lying about? 2. Original person: The original person is really talented and probably won’t hurt a lot opportunities for them. But knowing this might hurt their peace of mind 3. Recruiters: The talent pool in India is huge, but good quality talent pool percentage is relatively small. If someone poses as a talented individual using a stolen portfolio it makes their job harder. 4. People looking for jobs: Having people lie about their skills won’t make your life easier. If there’s mistrust, it is harder for you to show off your skill. You’ll need to work twice as hard to prove your talents 5. Indians as a community: Racism towards Indian based on their integrity is prevalent online and IRL. This does not help it at all. Please change your ways Use a template FFS

Brick and mortar coaching centers are creating 10000s crore revenue while in line Ed tech are struggling... . Paytm biggest revenue is coming from that physical soundbox which say " Paytm se 100 rs prapt hue" While it's online services are struggling to get profitable. Is this global phenomenon or just indian thing ? And why do Indian behave in this particular fashion? And will this behaviour make any online service difficult to scale in India?

Although India is a country with great culture and food,but it seems due to lack of unity, selfishness and a tendency to pull down others, India would take light years to be a developed country. Also this has been a major root cause of being attacked by so many invaders over the centuries. Someone who has resources in abundance, would not take any interest to help others in need. Not just basic,but any other thing also. Infact to say,we get easily influenced by anything. We don't have our own identity just like the French. Shoot your comments....
