Accessing Industry Knowledge

Is it okay for a tech enthusiast to not be interested in hands on coding full fledged or maybe not be an expert at it. I feel that if I give more time and effort in learning new stuffs and tech, I can excel at my job as a software engineer and even upskil myself but after 4-5 years, I still love to learn things and be updated about latest tech and do projects of my own but at a lesuirely pace without the anxiety about job or any interview.. But since I was in school I had too much interest towards business, ideas, startups and now that I am 28, i feel i really want to take that leap of faith with my entrepreneurial journey. I have couple of ideas I am quite passionate in the FMCG domain and couple ideas for tech based as well. From my heart, i always am into tech whether with job or jobless. But I don't like hardcore coding and stuff now.. Kind of done with it.. So my question is, has anyone else felt the same? Has anyone from tech sector plunged into FMCG sector with zero knowldge about that sector? Has anyone with average knowledge in tech industry tried to build a hardcore startup around tech by hiring someone else? Please share your experiences and advice and not from success stories of Rags to Riches that even I can find on Google😂

I have heard these days working in a startup gives ample time to achieve knowledge and expertise. After having the same experience some one can join MNCs for higher role Is this the myth or reality?

Hi there, as i am a fresher and currently doing my PM internship with a startup, so for full time should I look for MNC's or stick to here only. Because here i think we can learn too many things as i am learning. But in terms of problem solving i think MNC'S are great because there we will solve one bigger problem. And here we solve too many small problems. What's your take on that?

How can one specifically target startups and succeed? While many pursue top MNCs or MAANG, getting entry can be challenging. I am keen on working with small startups. Has anyone experienced working in startups in Bengaluru or other locations where both good pay and learning opportunities are available? In terms of job search, is LinkedIn/Naukri or referrals more effective? When preparing for interviews, should one focus more on DSA rounds or development skills? What are the pors & cons or tips? Plz share your insights. Thanks

Startup ecosystem seems to be going through a tough time recently. with less money infused in the market, and all the big player laying off employees, companies stooping so low in the name of cutting down the cost and news about some companies treating their employees like shit. Still my optimistic ass believes that it can’t all be that bad, right? and things might get better. Hi, I'm currently interviewing for a VC firm for the post of analyst. As part of the interview I have been given a task to prepare a PPT about a start up and conduct a market research and present the findings. Could anyone please help me out how to conduct market research like identifying its TAM, SAM, SOM, trends, their business model projections, their strategy..and the list goes on.. Couldn't find where to start.

I am a data engineer with 2 years experience in python, SQL, AWS, spark stack. I am looking for a switch and my priority is to get into startup as I get to learn a lot, atleast that's what I believe. I am not sure though how to get there. I am applying on naukri and LinkedIn, and I am unable to find startups to apply to. I can only see midsize businesses or big corporations. I don't know anyone who works for a startup, and don't know how to network with those folks specifically. It will be great if you people can provide guidance for networking and searching job in startup
