A recruiter lied to ease the conversation in

So today a recruiter called and said you applied for a job a week ago, and if I'm still interested ?

I clearly said it's not possible that i applied for the job a week ago (because i already joined another company two weeks ago and I'm not interviewing anymore)

Then she mentioned "oh you applied a month ago"

The way she talked, it was quite clear that she was lying about me applying one week back and tried to ease the discussion in.

I think they also know we apply to so many jobs and don't remember when we applied for which job but she actually encountered an unhandled corner case 😂
