Most of them start as analyst and then move towards AVP role.

AVP in banking is at best a team lead position, so quite normal to see young people at AVP level.
Thank God. But still a 2023 grad being a team lead sounds crazy to me

I've seen the same with JPMC folks as well. IMO Assistant VP is just old 'TeamLead' with a new wrapper.

Designation is a joke
Designation is a joke over here, and people love to flex their functional role
Banks have literally 1000s of AVPs lmao the other day this βAVPβ at Yes bank was making fun of LinkedIn titles of students who add VP of Student Club to their experience. Like bro youβre just like them π

In MnC banks/financial institutions Avp is the second lowest hierarchy position. It's the equivalent of sde1
Almost every body will be VP and above.
Program Associate is job Title and Assistant Vice President is Functional role.
Also Program Associate are freshers who joined just after college.

This will be a IC role, the corporate titles are common in bank , so AVP does not the mean the person is in leadership role , especially in banks.
